So far we are projected to grab WR Jameson Williams.

I like the pick but I don't pick so we will see what happens.

Put this in a different thread, and will stick by it until after FA period ends and the true needs become more evident

Just saw Ojabo declared. 1 year starter for Michigan and classified as a pass rusher. Considered raw w a 1st round grade so would be an obvious pick for Saints if he falls far enough for us to trade up and grab him

We don't usually go after a flashy pick. Would be nice to though.

When do the Saints ever take who the "experts" project them to?

Too early for mocks. There’s a lot of opinions all over the place.

Draftkings and NFLMocks has us taking WR Garrett Wilson out of tOSU.
PFF has us taking CB Trent McDuffie out of Washington.
DraftWite and Lines.com has us taking WR Treylon Burks out of ArKansas.
MyNFLdraft has us taking QB Malik Willis out of Liberty.
Draftblastets has us taking DE DeMarvin Leal out of aTm.
Drafttek has us taking QB Sam Howell from North Carolina.
NFLDraftRoom has us taking QB Matt Corral from Ole Miss.

My favorite analysis: DraftBlasters

15. New Orleans Saints
DeMarvin Leal, DE, Texas A&M
This pick is contingent on the Saints either sticking with Winston, or landing Rodgers in free agency next year. Their defense is becoming a big issue, and it wasn’t thought of to be an issue going into the season. At least not to this degree.

Would be an incredible pick at a position of clear need, but I wouldn’t think he’d be available by our selection

I don't think Williams will make it to 32

I think whoever wrote this article must have gotten confused between offense and defense

Saints will go OL or WR. They aren't taking a QB. The first rounders in the class would be mostly third day picks in a good year. Winston will want a bigger contract than the Saints are willing to give. I don't see any veterans coming here with the OL and WR issues, so draft there then try to sign a QB after the draft. If not, this will be a roster management year with Taysom as QB. Get the payroll down to get a big name or draft high in 2023.

I wouldn't mind Burks, Williams, Olave or Jalen Wydermyer with the issues at TE.

The Saints have rarely deviated from their draft philosophy, which is taking the highest rated player on their board. I just hope this draft is that rare occasion, as the lack of genuine playmakers on offense was glaring. The injuries on the offensive line must give Payton pause, though. Like baseball and pitching, there’s no such thing as “too much depth” in the trenches. A playmaker like Jameson, with a healthy Michael Thomas, suddenly make Harris and Callaway weapons, when the opposition’s best cover corners are busy elsewhere.
