Sooner Scoop is reporting Caleb possibly entering his name into the transfer portal. He wants to be “re-recruited” by everyone. Including OU. College football is in a crazy time.

Why?
You are the clear cut starter at OU
Anywhere you go you will have to compete again.
Your only competition in Rattler left and the top recruit ended up going to USC instead.
Makes no sense.
Kids these days.

He wants schools to bid on his services. This is what NIL has done.

Auburn will go after him

There's been rumors of a bidding war for a while. I expect him to end up in the SEC

NIL has destroyed college football. This isn't even a debate.
Bring back the days of shady vehicle leases.

So he’s going to A&M.

“Compete”
Like Joe Burrow “competed” when he walked into our shitty QB room

Maybe, they're on a roll I've heard Auburn or UGA

Maybe, but you gotta think that would really piss off their 5 star QB that just signed

This.
The coach that recruited him is gone. So he was likely already considering a transfer. I'm sure he's hearing about the money being given to HS recruits who haven't proven anything yet at the college level. He has, and figures there is a premium to be charged for his services. Worst case scenario is he makes OU pony up to keep him.
This is the world we live in now. Not only do coaches have to recruit HS players constantly...they also have to recruit their own roster each year.

This was already being done to some extent with the draft eligible guys pre-NIL.

About to be a lot more ABs in the NFL in the next decade.
