I've always had the impression that outside the US pickup trucks are used a lot differently. Anyone owning a truck is using the capabilities day in and day out. No one is commuting to a desk job in one.

You’ve gotta be shitting me right? Man if you want a truck then buy a truck, not a vagina with a bed in the back.

I don’t have an opinion, but thank you for asking.

Used to be the worst truck on the road. Then the Hyundai Santa Cruz came along - So you could make a worst decision.

It has a closet in the bed you can come out of.

It gets my Ryobis from Point A to Point B and that’s all that matters

I have a 2007. 140k trouble free miles so far. Replaced the timing belt and power steering pump at 120k in 2020. Had a pully that guides a cable that helps pull the rear seat up break and replaces that with a home made fix. Headliner is falling down and I used some headliner tacks to hold it up. Brake lights had to be replaced at 105k. Power steering pump started whining and had to replace a o-ring on the hose to the power steering pump at 115k. That's the extent of the problems I've had with it so far. Just consumables and replacables after that. Oil. Battery. Fluids. etc. Tows my 19ft Mastercraft or 21ft Pontoon the ~3 miles from the lake house to the launch if I need to take the boats out of the water. Front wheel biased AWD system is awesome on the slick boat ramps. Great daily driver truck as that's what I use it for. Comfortable ride. Quiet. Great on the interstate or in town. Hauling bikes to go mountain biking. Picking stuff up at Lowes. Love the locking trunk especially when hauling guns to the gun club. I prefer to keep my guns out of sight when driving around with them. Just gives me a little more peace of mind. Of course who would expect a ridgeline driver to be diving around with an arsenal of guns
If I need to tow the jeep to go off roading the Tahoe is the vehicle I take and the Ridgeline stays home. Better yet we take my buddy's big Diesel Dodge that thing tows 12k easier than my Ridgeline tows 4k. If it was rated to tow 7-8k instead of 5k and could easily tow 4k of jeep and 2k of trailer it would probably be the perfect truck for me.
Previous trucks were a 76, 85, 91, and 96 F150 and '06 Toyota Tacoma. For my what seperates the Ridgeline from the Taco is how much more comfortable and how much more spacious the interior is. Back sat in the taco is just plain uncomfortable for adults or limber people. Ridgeline is somewhere in between the Taco and modern full size pickups with respect to passenger room.
I can fit 5 mountain bikes in the bed with 4 teenagers and myself all comfortable with plenty of space in the cab with all of our gear in the trunk.

Because its generally a horrible financial decision. They are more expensive to buy and more expensive to drive.

I just bought a 2021 ranger last week and am pretty happy with it so far.

Bought my first Ridgeline in 2006. After 240 k miles I traded it in on a new onw in 2017, which I still drive. I've owned ford (diesel) and chevy trucks, but the Ridgeline is the most comfortable one of all. Their All Wheel Drive with auto torque control is unbeatable in my opinion. I've driven around 4x4 Fords stuck in the mud at our deer camp. I've driven up rocky slopes and never spun a wheel or thrown a rock thanks to the torque control. I don't need more than 5 k towing capacity and I get 21 mpg.

I drive SUVs with towing package and use my trailer if I need to haul. Pickups are overrated, bunch of wasted space you hardly ever use.

Yup. Works well for me. I can throw my dog and deer stands in the back, pull a trailer, boat, or small camper, and it gets decent enough gas milage to where I'm not going broke on gas.

My dad just bought a new one a few weeks ago. I don’t care for the way it looks, but the ride is really smooth.

Ugliest beta truck in history.

It’s not a real truck and all that. But if you’ve never driven one, you should. Super handling all wheel drive is a marvel. They drive exactly like an car.
