Why are there those here that continue to hate on Myles Brennan?

I’m aware as anyone at the level of dumb and amount of miserable haters that post here, but this is one take I just don’t understand.
A healthy MB is a difference maker for this 2022 LSU tiger football team.
Some of you people are really really fricking stupid, that’s all I can attribute it to.
Myles Brennan
Kelly for coach and Brennan returning are home runs for LSU football.

I’ll tolerate a lot of slander on here.
I’ll even do some myself.
But Myles is off-limits.
Whether he does great, does poorly, gets hurt, or whatever- he’s made his choice to be a Forever Tiger and should always have our respect.

He has to accomplish something before he’s a hero.

I think because of the god status many on here give him when he hasn't started more than 3 games.
People just over swing to the negative to counter act the over positive that some posters show.
Myles is definitely an oddity in today's game. He sat here for 5 years and decided to come back but let's not act like he is the second coming of Joe Burrow(which many posters make it sound like)
Hope the best for him as I did for Max and TJ and any other player who out on the purple and gold.

Exactly the point of my post, many gave him god status which he is not deserving of yet

So did jordan Jefferson

There's a certain type of poster that exists for every single school that ALWAYS wants the backup to start. They exist on every board for every fan base. Part of it was that playing itself out. Some fans are just never happy with whoever is playing QB.
Part of it was also that Brennan had the misfortune of being the guy who followed Burrow.
fwiw I thought Brennan was good but not great and figured Johnson would be better in the long run, but I was completely wrong about Johnson who I thought would show a lot more progress from freshman to sophomore than he actually did.

He wears purple and gold and the Tigers are my team. I save my hate for people like Ricks and the rest of our opponents along with any rantards that talks shite about our Tigers.

I have much respect for MB. Dude could have transferred in 2018, but he stuck it out. I'm hoping he has a great year.

If he's a Forever Tiger why was he even in the portal...

Don't hate Brennan at all. Don't know him, but he strikes me as an unusually fine young man of outstanding character with a great arm, and I congratulate him on his engagement to a young lady who has been loyal and supportive during some tough times. Whether Brennan left or stays at LSU, however, his problem is simple and glaringly evident--he's built of balsa wood. Nobody will be rooting for him harder than me next year, but I'd be amazed to see him get to mid-season without injury. Here's hoping!
