Anyone really think NIL $$ are good for college football in the long run?

For over 50 years , I’ve always preferred college sports over the NFL. Most of what shaped that perspective is being removed from the sport one block at a time.

Sure I’ll keep watching and rooting for the tigers, but I expect the experience will feel more like sundays than saturdays going forward.

NIL plus the transfer portal are game changers. Every school must adapt.

It all started because the NCAA rules prohibited kids from having jobs or getting paid from anything while they are student athletes. That’s an absurd rule. So start NIL - no socialized guidelines…

What you see now is all the under the table stuff happening right before our eyes. It’s crazy that Texas has sucked for so long. That’s all I have to say…

No. It sucks

Even if it went on before, I don’t want to know

And during those 50 years, college football players made a shite ton of money to play the sport

Not without rules/guidelines to even everything out. Otherwise, the richest schools will dominate college football - they will simply buy championships.

It wasn’t designed to be good for the college game. Quite the opposite, actually.
