There’s a difference in “covered by” and “in” as far as I’m concerned.

Bump

Shaw (while we’re speaking about Tierney) job came open today… Connors was not renewed and it should be a very attractive job now that they’re gonna be 4A. Connors should be able to find another head coaching job somewhere. His 12-37 record deserves an asterisk as no one could have won with Shaw in the Catholic League.

Franklinton hired Guy Lecompte from Country Day for their opening, which will be his fourth school in the last decade or so

Nope but I’m positive I know the M.Y. you are referring to. Coached with him. I’ve seen some of your posts in the past and I’m pretty sure we were coaching in the same area around the same time.

Heard the db coach was in discussion, he built Jacoby into a 5 star.

Don't know anything about him. I think they should hire a proven head coach.

Hank to Shaw a done deal. He gets his pension from the public school system allowing him to be part time, but head coach there. Alumni pushed this hard

I don't understand any of this.

Hank is 70. He gonna commute daily from the northshore down to Shaw? Considering he moved to the northshore cause he wanted to, doubt he moves back.

How much longer does he want to coach? He said he has been "done" as a HC multiple times yet keeps coming back.

Also, after Shaw so publicly f'd him, why go back? Yes Begg was an idiot but didn't seem like too many people stood up for him.

For Shaw... you bring in an old man who doesn't have much left in the tank... for what? They won't have a hard transistion to 4A... they have been put in a stupid easy district, and if De La Salle can consistently make runs in the DII playoffs... so should Shaw.

Just seems like a weird hire all around.

A ton of his players shunned Shaw after the firing. This move will help mend some fences with guys like the Joseph’s and Ryan clark

I know one thing. A good Shaw team in class 4A on the West Bank is Chalmette's best friend, just in terms of whom they take kids from.

Karr, Landry, and Ehret wouldn't really like this at all

So you think this is more about off field and fundraising than a couple of football seasons?
