Watching on TV last night, that WVU stadium was rocking with rabid E'er fans and it was impressive to see this. Great job, Tigers, for not being intimidated by the crowd roar. But I got to thinking, if WVU came into the SEC, there would likely be home and home night games between Baton Rouge and Morgantown. Imagine the wildness and intensity - it could become epic. We might have found our one true rival.

wvu would be on your true rival in terms of partying.

but it would take wvu a few years of good recruiting and actually beating lsu before you all considered it a "rival"

afterall it's only a rivalry to the team that doesn't win the game as often.

Like anywhere else, I think team fortunes ebb and flow over the years. So with SEC level recruiting and getting acclimated to the SEC, I figure WVU wouldn't take too long to start getting the hang of winning some big games. Hell, with some years of seasoning y'all might even beat LSU once in a while like Arky does. That will be plenty of fuel for the rivalry fire.

They didn't leave at halftime down 27-7.

Like 10 seconds of sound at a time. Many stadiums do that.

I was in Morgantown last night. We had a great time. I have been to several SEC venues for LSU games, and this game atmosphere was comparable to any school in the SEC.

Yes, they do things a little differently. But that is what makes our conference special. The Mountaineer fans are just like us. They love their school. Thanks for a great time!

That story is completely false. There is nothing proving it. Nothing on the news, etc. Complete bs.

I didn't know about that incident.

I agree. That is awful. I did not see anything like that. There were a few minor things we witnessed between LSU and WVU fans, but nothing really major. Every WVU fan we met was great and very hospitable. That incident is really awful. Wow.

If it is false, i apologize. if it's true, I know your whole fanbase isn't responsible for one person, but this is still awful.

Glad you were able to put that into perspective. I've seen that kind of thing happen at Tiger Stadium, UK, and UGA. It happens, it's a shame when it does, but it isn't the overall fan body of either school. A few nitwits in every stadium and fan base. WVU would be a very worthy addition to the SEC.

That little shithouse has nothing on some of the behemoths in the actual SEC.

Looked rabid on tv. Way to go Tigers for handling such an atmosphere!
