I don't get why a whittled down version of the Big XII is suddenly going to make more money than the one that's existed for the last 14 years. The Big Ten just became a better conference, and you could argue the same for the Pac 10 with adding Colorado and Utah along with a championship game. The SEC hasn't gotten any weaker. Where's the Big XII coming up with this sudden rush of money? I call BS.

Everyone thinks this is BS. Where was this $ when it would have kept Nebraska in the conference?

yes, either way Beebe looks incompetent.

I could see the argument that losing CU doesn't hurt the contracts in place, so everyone suddenly has a bigger piece of the pie. Maybe.

It's UT opening up their coffers and possibly talking about renegotiating the revenue sharing I'm guessing.

Less teams = more pieces of the pie to divvy up.

First of all, they cannot even hold a CCG unless they add a couple programs. Is the TV money as good with a B12 having added TCU and Houston, as it was with Nebraska and CU? Somehow, I doubt it.

Here's ULL's chance. THis will give the BigXII access to Louisiana recruiting and television market.

No way do I think Texas is going to be willing to stick around in the Big XII if they have to split their revenue. I know Colorado didn't add anything to the pie, but Nebraska certainly did. Even still, the pie slices don't grow enough to justify sticking it out in a dying conference.

20M is from Neb and Col. If the Aggies jump ship, that's another 10m.

On a one time basis. Not something you can build a budget around.

More money coming from ESPN. They don't want to lopse the Texas markets if the PAC-10 plan works.

I also have a feeling that ESPN is behind the SEC push for A&M.

If either plan works, ESPN keeps a presence in the Texas markets.

Not once the TV contract gets renegotiated without those teams. They will also not have a CCG with only 10 teams.

What sense does that make? ESPN/ABC already has the Pac 10 as well.

I think the PAC 10 wants to create their own network and possibly partner with FOX for the other games.
