i was very happy with the 12 team SEC. BUT, the landscape ain't gonna allow that. better to friggin' be proactive and win that to set aside and lose. the way of the world. i am 100% southern and would very much like the SEC to stay that way but....................

I'm assuming by talent you mean football and not other sports.
So the following teams: UK, Vandy, Ole Miss, Miss. St., and most of the time South Carolina all do not belong either, got it.
Because A&M has a solid football team this year, along with very good to great programs in all other sports.
Oh, and we bring the money to keep the SEC on top in television revenue and not getting beat out by a PAC conference whose television rankings don't come close.
So the following teams: UK, Vandy, Ole Miss, Miss. St., and most of the time South Carolina all do not belong either, got it.

Remove A&M from this then....
If you are held at gunpoint and forced to expand to 14 teams (the ACC did it first, and everyone else will too), which 2 do you take.....remember, realistic candidates only.
In the West:
-Texas...no need to go there. They don't want you, you don't want them.
- OU....in theory, would be nice.....but they are locked in with OSU and that will never change. Some of you may take that package, but the Presidents want no part of OSU.
- Mizzou....may be on the way, but I don't think any of you would take them OVER A&M.
That rounds out the west....lets go East...
-FSU/Clemson/GT....all are in existing SEC states. GT already left the SEC. I personally hope we still snag FSU as #14, but there seems to be some behind closed doors agreement to not piss off UF/USC/UGA by forcing them to give up their exclusivity.
-VT...another great choice, but apparently there is no interest on their end. Would love them at #14.
-NC/NCST....NC is a slam dunk, but values basketball, which the ACC owns.. NCST is no different than Mizzou..or OSU...Both NC schools share a board, so not sure they could realistically split up.
-WVU...another school you wouldn't take OVER A&M.

I don't see why some people are upset over aTm. Very good addition to the SEC
