"The Pac-12's first-ever football championship game is scheduled for Friday, December 2, 2011 at the HOME STADIUM of the team with the best conference record. The divisional champions will be determined based on record in all Conference games (both divisional and cross-divisional)."

They're doing that because the fans in the Pac12 suck. They need all the help they can get in getting folks to attend the games. (See ACC)

would be nice to alternate between big "neutral" NFL stadiums in SEC states.

Could play in Jacksonville, Atlanta, Houston/Dallas, New Orleans, or St. Louis/ Kansas City..

That way the game isn't always all the way in the east.

Talk about home field advantage!

Atlanta is basically home field for anyone out of the East.....just like New Orleans would be for us. Really too bad Mississippi or Alabama doesn't have a nice stadium we could hold it in. That really is the most central point.

I would seriously like to see the SECCG alternate between these two spots.

Why the hell are you calling me on this... I was just chiming in! Sorry I didn't check to see that there were at least two other threads on this in the past month before participating in this one.

Why am I not surprised a Georgia fan is the first one to shoot down the discussion.

Havimg the best conf record host is the best odds for your best team to make the BCS title game. Its all about money and the best way is to have the best team host.

Wasnt really calling you on it, but someone starts a post on this every 72 hours it seems like. Be no one seems to understand that there is a contract, and by 2017 there will probably be 16 teams. With the additional 2 from the coast. Atlanra just makes the most since, its just as close to bama as it is to ut or nashville or columbia, sc. Uf is about the same if not further than miss schools, not much more than lsu., heck either traffic uts just as fast to auburn as athens.... Fire the new guys pretty sure there is a flight from dallas/houstin and st louis every hours to the worlds busiest airport. Not to mention I would imagine that every school has one of thier largest alumi bases located in atlanta. Finally do you really think the sec is willing to move one year so the acc can move thier game here

Yet you posted your reply to my comment rather than to the OP. Maybe you could notice that the 'post reply' buttons are available for every comment (not just the most recent) and choose one more accordingly next time.

What seems to me is that you don't understand that anyone here is able to post an opinion, and unless you are tied directly to the negotiation process between the SEC and the Georgia Dome, you have no more factual knowledge about what will happen after 2017 than anyone else here. Moreover, the fact that the Georgia Dome contract has been extended has ZERO to do with whether or not some fans would like to see the location handled differently than it is.

Atlanra just makes the most since

Now see, here you feel quite comfortable posting your own opinion, because that is all this statement is... opinion.

This could also be said for flights TO these locations, or else the folks who fly to ATL FROM there might have problems getting back. And NO handles enough flights for the Sugar Bowl every year as well as the BCSCG every fourth year... it could probably handle the flight load just fine.

Your are speculating in order to try and build you argument, but I would be quite certain that this is a true statement for UGA.

I REALLY think that the SEC will play the SECCG where it can maximize it's profits. Period. I do NOT believe that keeping the ACC from playing in Atlanta is one of the prime motivations for where the game is played.

Now, I believe we are all now aware that the Georgia Dome contract now runs through 2017. Thank you for making that point abundantly clear. However, you might consider that since you have repeatedly stated you position but these threads continue to pop up, that some posters may not care about your argument. Other opinions on alternate ideas for the SECCG are as valid as yours, and the fact that a contract currently exists has no bearing on what some fans would like to see done differently.

You are right, Im sure that no one who wants the game moved cares about my opinion, just like Slive and the SEC office does not care about thiers. And will continue to want the only Conf. CG that has been successful financially to be kept that way. I personally would like it to be on a campus, but it's not about what the fans would like to see, it's about the money and in Atlanta it makes a ton, because for the majority of sec fans Atlanta is easily accessable by car.

ETA: Just to be clear, I didn't intend to say that nobody cares about your opinion. You are as entitled to your opinion as anyone else on this site.
