It hasn't always been like that and you know it. Alabama kicked the shite out of Auburn for nine straight years in the 1970s and Tennessee kicked the shite out of us for seven straight years in the 1990s and early-2000s. Things come and go in cycles.

Really? Look carefully at a map and it's not near the stretch you would think. If you draw a line from Florida and Georgia back to include Vandy you don't have to bend it far at all to include Missouri. Plus it should be noted that Missouri actually borders 2 SEC East states.

Even if it was weird geographically, wouldn't it make sense and be much easier for everyone involved to mess with the current divisional format as little as possible? Adding Missouri to the East does that as opposed to moving Auburn East. The best solution all along was to simply add 1 team each to each division. You currently have 3 or 4 teams opposed to Missouri as an SEC West team and 1, MAYBE 2 team(s) AT MOST opposed to Missouri in the SEC East. That should tell you right there that fewer teams are pissed off and less havoc is created by Missouri joining the East.

Frankly, I'm amazed that LSU fans so badly want Missouri in the West instead of the East. It replaces the Auburn game with a game against Missouri each year and I assumed (apparently wrongly) that LSU fans enjoyed their game with Auburn. I'd be all for teams without protected rivalries picking a brand new permanent team so that LSU can give up Florida so that shouldn't be a reason to refuse Missouri as an SEC East team. It seems some LSU fans on this board want Missouri in the West out of spite for Alabama and Tennessee fans.

Not me Govt Tide, I feel the same way about our games with Auburn and Florida as you do about Tenn and Auburn. Of course we don't have anything comparable to the Iron Bowl, I still would hate to not play them every year. This whole thing is going to play out regardless of what I think about it. The closer this thing gets to happening, the more I hate that it is changing at all.
