College Station is awful. Not quite Starkville bad but not that far off.

Man, we went to cowtown in the 80's. Mack banks supper club, go drunk, went to campus to conrinue the party with about 40 guys from Ole Miss, Got there about midnight on a thursday the campus was locked up. We got pissed off after being throen out of a few Soriety houses, dorms trying to find a few drinking buddies chicks and decided to turn the whole trip into a Viking raid, (Had no clue where the damn dog was). We landscaped soriety row, and stole a signature item from every frat house, KA charter, SAE giant dog, EX big shield thing, etc. We gave it all back next day.

They called the state police and national guard out and set up road blocks on us, i swear to god.
About 6 of us got arrested. Had warrant out for me for years. In was in the student paper for weeks. This kind of shite happened at Ole Miss and LSU every weekend.

This makes no sense

Learn to use google. It's your friend.

If y'all want to drive an extra 60 miles out of the way through Jackson, MS, lol, go ahead.

There is a reason google is using this route now. There are new highways in Arkansas with the speed limit of 75mph's with the new 4 lane bridge in Greenville, MS.

Therefore you by pass the the traffic in Jackson, MS and get there faster going through Arkansas.

For as good of a school as TAMU is they can't do math very well..

Arkansas route with No major City Traffic at 75mph traveling 566 miles.

vs.

Jackson route with an extra 15 mins for traffic traveling at 75 mph going 605 miles.

Arkansas route = 7.56 hours.
Jackson, MS route = 8.16 hours.

8 minutes... funny, do the math.

So you are telling me traveling time at 605 miles is the same as 566 miles traveling at a constant speed of 75mph?

We won't even add in traffic yet, ha.

You can't be that stupid?

Google Maps did give the right route from BCS to Shreveport... I'm impressed. 3.5 hrs to Shreveport going that route vs. 4-5 going some other routes.

Why did Google Maps give different estimated times than you? Are you smarter than Google? Who says I can travel the same speed on both roads? What about gas and food options? What about construction? Why is the preferred route from College Station to Oxford on I-20? Why is the estimated time difference on there only 2 minutes? I need answers to all these questions.

Answer my question first.

You do realize google doesn't update speed limit signs each month. Therefore they are calculating roads signs that used to be 65mph that are now 70 or 75.

1. Food and gas are equal both routes with 2 or 3 stops. Less going the Arkansas route for it's almost 60 miles less in total travel distance.
2. The preferred route is the Arkansas route type it into google and it's 1st of 3 options.
3. Google has not updated the signs in Arkansas. You do realize this route will be part of I-69 in the future therefore it's 70-75mph. This was recently updated around the state. Also, google Map does NOT show the 4-lane highway almost complete from Little Rock to Greenville, MS.
4. Less traffic the Arkansas route, no Jackson, MS and it's literally a straight shot.
5. There is a brand new 4 lane bridge in Arkansas and Mississippi which the road connected to is not not 50mph.
6. Google is counting speed limit signs of 75mph on I-20, they are not updated for the new roads in Arkansas that went up in speed limit. They probably won't be updated for another year when google checks their maps again in this area.

I'm actually doing you a favor and saving you gas and travel time.

"Called out".. are you fricking serious? You and your delusional hog fans are just flat out wrong if you think something that happened 20 years ago has any bearing on the current situation other than you guys being the 12th member of the SEC. Regardless.. keep it to that thread.

copy and paste where I said Arkansas had any bearing on what is happening today?

I'll be waiting A LONG TIME for that copy and paste

The LSU poster asked why Arkansas left the SWC. That has nothing to do with why TAMU left today. You aren't to bright young son.
