He literally didn’t say anything that would suggest he’s out.

His statement absolutely confirms he’s salivating to come to LSU. The poster needs a tutorial in coachspeak.

That quote means absolutely nothing at all. He is absolutely on the table. LSU is a hard job to pass up. He has one more year or two to right the ship in Carolina.

Nah, this means nothing. Is he supposed to be honest and tell the franchise that he is entertaining other employment when his NFL team is only halfway thru the season? Come on. They could fire him next week if he was honest.

Franklin is the only idiot that doesn't know when to shut his mouth and said "there are a lot of moving parts" when asked about HC openings.

Rhule can potentially go to LSU and PSU. If Franklin leaves PSU goes to LSU (please no) or USC, Rhule could be entertaining LSU and PSU. Being a former PSU player that could be his legacy building move. But he knows he could possibly build a legacy here as well. I think if pay is the same, he would take PSU. So we have to tempt him with more money, sell him, and show him the talent that comes out of this state.

If anybody believes anything these coaches say at a press conference about job openings and if they are entertaining them, you are crazy.

"Rhule coached at Temple University in Pennsylvania and led that team to a 28-23 record. After his success in the AAC, he moved on to the Big XII to lead the Baylor Bears to a 19-20 record. The Panthers hired Rhule in 2020, and he signed a seven-year, $60 million contract. He's led the Panthers to an 8-15 record thus far."

Can someone please help me understand why people keep talking about Rhule? Nothing about his record suggests to me that he is even a remote candidate. His record is not even remotely impressive especially considering where he coached. So what am I missing?

Classic example of you looking at records but don't see the big picture. You need to understand the situation he was going into on those 2 programs and what he did to them by the time he left. That's why Carolina wanted him over there to help rebuild it in the NFL. He's a very good coach.

Are you serious? He took temple from 2 wins in his first year to 10 wins in his 3rd and ,4th years. Temple!!, Their last 10 win season before Rhule was in 79 and they only had 5 winning seasons from 79 until Rhule.
Do you remember what a dumpster fire Baylor was when he took over? He brought them from 1 win in his first year to 11 wins in his 3rd.
His coaching record in college is miraculous considering the jobs he's had.

If I remember correctly, he took over a scandal ridden bad Baylor team in 2017 and had them 11-1 in 2019 reg season. Only loss to OU....Lost to OU for Big 12 title and lost to UGA in Sugar Bowl.
6-6 in 2018
1-11 in 2017

So be my guest if you want to only look at W-L record at Baylor and nothing else. But that is just dumb. He flipped the W-L record in his 3rd year as coach, 1-11, to 11-1.
He looks like a pretty darn good football coach if you ask me.
