Let's face it, he took one on the chin for his players......

He was on top of the world at OSU and I always felt his canning was kind of extreme.

Is he too much of a northerner?

Is the game past his time?

There are better options for LSU. He wasn't that great at OSU. Keep Orgeron to recruit, assistant head coach, dline coach, get a top notch defensive coordinator with some charisma and hire Bobby Petrino. He's whoop arse with some real talent. Just don't allow him to talk to any recruits!!! Or volleyball players.

You mean when he lied to the NCAA and intentionally fielded ineligible players? Then tried to cover up his lies with excuses about how he didn't know who to report the information to or that he wanted to keep confidentiality (nevermind that Tressel was a former Athletic Director himself and immediately forwarded the e-mail).

He's more conservative than Les Miles. LSU fans would HATE him.

Wasn't that great?

1 of 3 in BCS national title games
5 of 6 in BCS bowl games
1-0 Rose Bowl record (for those of us who actually remember the value the rose bowl)
6-5 Bowl record
6 Big Ten titles
9-1 Record vs. Michigan
Winning vs. Wisconsin and Penn State in rivalry games...

Boring offense, good defense, excellent special teams.... If that's not solid then, what then what is your definition of being good. He even roast your piggies in the Sugar Bowl.
