If we had to pay Miles $15M to make anything less than a HR hire, I would be at least a little bothered. Currently, Fisher, Kelly and maybe a few others are HR hires. Hermann, Fedora and a few others mentioned would likely be very good coaches but I'd have a problem with how Alleva handled the situation if we (or some third party) had to pay Miles $15M first.

It would definitely be, "Oh shite - we done fricked up and have to hire someone before signing day" moment for most people expecting Jimbo Fisher, Chip Kelly or Jon Gruden - that's for absolutely certain.

I would definitely put him as a very solid second choice to Fisher. He's more of a known quantity, where Herman would be more of a swing for the fence on potential.
