Have you even seen the Arkansas facilities compared to the Miami facilities? Its a JOKE to even compare them. I wish LSU had a chance to play there instead of Little Rock.

I don't see him leaving for Miami.

That's actually a really good question!

I don't know if Petrino can leave arKansas this early though. He still has a bad rap from the Auburn, Louisville and Atlanta Falcons ordeals. If he goes to Miami, he will have had four jobs in the last six years.

Woopigsooie, I know that you arkansas fans are just loving this year, and rightfully so, but please keep a little bit of perspective when you are talking. Here is a great reason why teams like Arkansas and Ole Miss have never had consistency in the SEC, I know that they have had some really good years, but as far as consistently being in the top, that just hasn't happened: Ya'll are not able to recruit elite talent every year, some years, ya'll do really well, but consistently, you guys are just not there yet. Don't believe me? Since 2002, ya'll have finished above 3rd place in the West 2 times. Ole Miss has finished above 3rd place 2 times. So you see, ya'll clearly haven't been able to sustain fielding good teams. I know you might be thinking, "Well we have Petrino, so that is going to change." Really? Here is what your team is losing this year: Top 10 NFL pick.
3 out of 5 offensive linemen. Probably will lose your best receiver and will lose your all-american tight end. 4 guys on defense, not bad, but not that good considering your defense isn't good anyways. I know you think that your backup QB is just going to come in and do just as good as Mallett, and he may, but please look at how other teams like Texas and Florida did this year with new QB's replacing NFL QB's. I know that your guy had a good game this year, but so did Texas QB last year. Just wanted to put a little bit of perspective because you might not want to put the cart before the horse for next year.

I'm going to say it again...

Arkansas had a GREAT year. Like a Really Great team.

But their main competition will always be LSU, Auburn and Alabama.

Even with their great season they still went 1 and 2 versus these 3 teams. That's just the way of life for Arkansas.

As for it looking bad on Petrino to leave Arkansas this soon...like he actually gives a shite. Yeh it's bad press initially but you don't hear shite about him or Saban and the way they left their NFL teams. NONE. All is basically forgotten and that's what winning does.

He just spent a lot of time and effort cleaning up the mess at Arkansas. Why would he leave and have to start all over?

And arkansas just committed to building first class facilities. Something the U seem unwilling to do.

Of course you are, Bobby Petrino is a top 10 college coach. Dude is outstanding. Y'all are building great facilities to help improve the program.

And that's great and all, but it's still Arkansas. Y'all are the 4th most prestigious school in perhaps the toughest division in all of CFB. In a great season, y'all went 1 and 2 against the three best division opponents. You just can't win at Arkansas the way he could win at Miami.

Arkansas has Bobby Petrino as it's head coach, da U has had Coker the Coach and Shannon.

I wouldn't build shite for those two lame duck coaches either.

Remember LSU was unwilling to upgrade it's facilities prior to Saban. Look at it now. Maybe Miami just needs a guy who will demand an upgrade in facilities.

as did LSU.

it only took Petrino 3 years to take a disaster of a program to (possibly) a BCS bowl game. If he's truly a top-10 coach - and i think he is - then he'll win at Arkansas.

That's rediculous.

Recruiting in Miami is a no brainer, especially compared to ArKansas. There will always be ebbs and flows with Miami, Florida and FSU with talent, but even down recruiting years are still pretty damn good.

Miami is still the U and as long as Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Jeremy Shockey, Frank Gore, Clinton Portis, Kellen Winslow II, Greg Olsen, Ray Lewis, Brandon Meriweather and Jonathan Vilma are still in the NFL, the U has a lot of cache. They are still a team that gets pub and rankings when they aren't that great.

At arKansas, you are a mid tier program of your own conference and will have to be compared to LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Florida and Georgia. In the ACC, FSU and Miami had the program tailor made for them to succeed. It's Miami, Florida State and Virginia Tech.

Location, Location, Location. No brainer.

Facilities at the U kind of suck. That's about the only downside of coaching at the U.

You think LSU fans consider this year a "great" season ? I'll answer it for you, no.

ok. i'm just saying, we matched LSU this year and ended 2nd in the SEC. You keep pointing to losing 2 of 3 as if it's a horrible stat, when really it still makes arkansas a top 10 team in the nation.

Here's the thing: Arkansas isn't as shitty of a program as you're making it out to be. We've been to the SECCG 3 times since joining the conference, across 2 different coaches. That 3 times is equal to Auburn (until this week) and only 1 appearance less than LSU.

We've been competitive. The commitment by the university and fanbase is there. The potential is there. Now we have a top-10 coach to push us over the hump.
