Food. You don't win in the trenches eating corn.

In two years he’ll be playing an SEC schedule, either way. Better to do that at LSU than at OK.

This. I think he’d have to start rebuilding his program to beef up for SEC play. You’d also have to look at facilities from a recruiting standpoint.

Even though OU is headed to the SEC, LSU is already there and has been cashing those much bigger TV checks for years. OU will need to update its facilities and stadium to match the SEC once they make the move, which takes years to do. LSU already has superior facilities in place and can just keep updating them over time. There’s no waiting for the benefit in recruiting here.

Another big item in LSU’s favor is obviously recruiting. It’s not like OU isn’t doing well, but it’s just easier here. That recruiting budget goes a lot further when you can recruit LA and have a top 10 class 9 out of 10 years on that alone. Target your QB and a few National high 4 and 5 star guys and you are 1-5 every year. Again, the same budget goes a lot further when you can build the majority of your team from home-grown talent in a state where you are the only P5 competition.

Those and 3 titles in 20 years playing in the toughest division in America are pretty strong selling points. Maybe not enough to get Riley to leave a good and very stable situation, but still enough to make the man think about it.

Remember, Riley’s situation is stable because he is putting up 10-12 wins a year in the Big 12. If that drops to 6-8 wins a year against SEC competition, his situation will be less stable. Every coach must win to keep his job. He is more likely to win at LSU. So it can be argued that starting in 2023, LSU may well be more stable for him.

Ok, you’re making 7.6 million and an AD calls with a serious 12 million offer. Do you really have to ask why?

So why do they make more than LSU?And they certainly have the capability to match any offer from LSU unless Woodward want to go off the deep end and add more money to LSU's annual debt service.

Where do you come up with this garbage? OU has some of the best facilities in the country?

Do you have any info more recent than the fiscal year prior to LSU winning the NC, winning every award known to man, and completely embarrassing OU along the way?

And this has what to do with the current financial status of each school?

OU has always been a big revenue produces even with their Big 12 TV deal.

Umm…asking for a current status is exactly what I was doing since the link you provided was from the 2018-2019 fiscal year?

Do you want to sleep this off and try again tomorrow?

ETA: FYI LSU had more revenue, less expenses, and therefore more profit than OU in the 2019-2020 year.
