While he was the HC in waiting at W.Vir, he apparently could not wait & basically stabbed the HC at the time in the back & was widely vilified by his peers back then. Too, as noted, he's had problems with drinking & in major scene, he got loaded at a casino & was kicked out by security. Not a nice guy by many standards. Frick no !

I thought that story was the other way. WVU set up the coach in waiting thing, and Stewart tried to back stab Dana. The casino thing did happen, though.

He's a better candidate than half the names I've seen thrown around this board.
He would not take the LSU job. He is a Big 12 guy and loves Morgantown. Just built a brand new house and it is the first house in the US to be built completely of cross-laminated timber...

that's the way it went down...Stewart and his wife had a Pitt news reporter "dig up dirt" on Dana...That's how all the casino incidents and the scene in Huntington with Dana and Kliff K came up.

Both Dana and Coach O have quite the propensity for energy drinks. Dana is often seen chugging Red Bull on the sideline and Bruce Feldman said he saw Coach O drink 4 on a 1 hour drive with him.

He apparently doesn't recruit. Dude can coach an offense though. Better if he gets fired and comes in as OC

Close friends of my parents went to the Kentucky Derby with him a few years ago. He was a guest of someone else in their group. I can confirm he is an alcoholic a-hole and if he didn't travel with a "handler" he would have been jailed at least twice that weekend.
