Better question might be if his wife would rather live in Austin or BR.

He's spent the majority of his career in the state, including a GA at U of Texas.

Considering the pipeline of money flowing into UT from around the State and a worldwide alumni base, all Herman has to do is win...they're dying for another Darrell Royal.

yeah he kind of seems like a Briles type but less extreme, as in he's completely tied to Texas

the #1 job in TX, by far, is UT

i mean even ignoring the fact that he went there and was a GA there, it's a potential monster, will pay a ton, etc, just based on his coaching history it seems like a good fit. when you combine it all, it really paints a strong picture

He coached in the state of Texas for 11 years so now people think he wants the Texas job the most. I think it's nonsense, and he just wants a big time job.

Big 12 ain't bringing in Houston, and they might not even expand this year.

USC won't let go of Helton after only 1 year as long as they can finish with a winning record.

Texas ain't letting go of Strong as they'll win 9-10 games in the crappy Big 12 and he has brought them back an offense.

He's all LSU if he wants in.

If Texas gets pounded by Gundy and Stoops the next two weekends, kiss Strong's butt goodbye.

Why do you assume that these are the things that motivate Herman?

I know coaches who know Herman who have told me "he wants the Texas job"

There is no assumption, he would take UT over LSU
