Hanny isn't, and its hard to tell what Ott wants.
But over the last few weeks its become obvious G. Rush, Ruffin Rodrigue, Chris Traux and Todd McClure. Hard core push O every time they get a chance pushing him over fisher or Herman?

They care more about access to the program than being elite. They want to keep their buddy Prince in the football ops building.

It's not about them wanting O before those guys, they just know lsu can't get jimbo or Herman. So O would be the best 3rd choice.

Access to the program. He has a lot of local connections being from here. Gordy Rush's wife is Ensminger 'a niece or something like that. Orgeron has been very keen in his PR moves since he has taken over. Putting a radio personality from that station as a direct Assistant. Orgeron makes their job very easy, plus I don't doubt that they genuinely like the guy.
None of these reasons justify his hire long term. However, O has make some very calculated moves to pander to the fanbase, former players and local media to position himself for this job.

I think they are still living in the world when they played at LSU in the mid Eighties were a rah rah coach that was a good recruiter is all you needed.
They're talking like herman doesn't understand Louisiana and couldn't go into houses and talk to people .... because Nick Saban was a 5 generation coonass when he got here
