Where you more upset over the Miles hire in 2005 or the O hire today?

Me - The O hire

O hire. Mainly because O assumed we were serious about winning once we got rid of Miles

O
At least there was the appearance of a real search in 05.

There was logic (like it or not) to Miles as they followed the same Saban formula.
The O hire is flat out settling for the guy who is here at this moment. There is no vision in this hire.

O - Miles had a winning record at something in his life.

LSU was in a tough spot in '05, because Saban left late.
Alleva kicked off this search saying he wanted someone who had a track record of success and ended up with a track record of mediocrity.

Orgeron hire by far. Miles actually had a resume.

O and its not even close. At least Miles had a winning record as a Head Coach when hired.

This is such a joke you fire Miles at start of the year and you have no plans lol. Dude couldn't beat a shitty Florida team. This is worse

Most of the people walking away from the program today were around 9 or 10 when Les was hired, so...

I'm not upset. I'm resigned to the fact this is not going to end well.

No doubt the O hire. At least LSU administration hired their best possible option when miles was hired. O isn't even the best possible option on this coaching staff.

O. But then Miles won for a few years with $atan's players.

The Cajun yaw yaw. And it's not close.

MIles. His first PC was awful. His record was meh! He was known to blow big leads at OSU. Anyone could see he was a klutz.
I am not thrilled that it's O but he will be a marked improvement over Miles in every way. If Miles, with his limited ability and acumen, could win at LSU then there will be improvement with O. He's certainly no Saban, Meyer or Harbaugh but he might just surprise some folks.
