Mad hatter, my source still feels the same. No change from what he originally said. Talked with him again late last night but more about personal stuff and a little about LR.

If you're trolling, you're damn good at it. I applaud you, truth or not.

Awesome. I appreciate you letting us know. Hopefully your source is correct. So even with counter by OU he is still leaving?

I hear ya. People will attack you regardless. I don't know much about the numbers involved, but I do know Riley was leaning LSU, some Oklahoma boosters panicked, and then everything from what I was hearing went dark on the Riley talk. This is one gigantic tussle amongst a lot of rich assholes. LOL Well, not all assholes, but some.

Yes, nothing has changed from the original information he told me. As far as boosters go, here’s something a lot of folks don’t know, the state of Oklahoma has lost alot of revenue in the downturn of oil and gas the last 5-7 years. OU has some big name boosters but they don’t have Texas money (hence why they follow everything Texas does). Boosters are having somewhat of a reality check with the last 12 national title winners out of 20 being from the SEC. There’s arrogance and there’s humility. OU is currently in the middle with the conference buyout, the reality of not being the big fish in the small pond and having to retool their football program to compete on the field and in recruiting in the SEC.

Good stuff

Im fine whatever happens as long as it’s not Bill O’Brien or Franklin…While Riley and Aranda are my preference, I’d be fine with Napier too.

Looking forward to see how this all plays out

Sounds like there’s a lot of not-good-shite going on behind the scenes at OU between the boosters and conduct-problem players and Grinch-Riley

Don’t kill the messenger bud, this wasn’t my words, this was from my source. He wasn’t singling Feldman out, it’s just most know that any media member isn’t trustworthy today and tend to gather around like buzzards on roadkill. Hence why LeBron went to SI to announce going back to Cleveland rather any other sports media..

Who is Feldman’s source? Why would he ask OU sources about Riley and LSU?…in other words, why would he ask them as they’re the last ones that are gonna say if there is something going on

Put another way: the only people that would definitively know what’s going on between Riley and LSU would be Riley and LSU, so is Feldman’s source from Riley or LSU? Just wouldn’t even make sense to ask OU sources

Phrased another way, if an OU source said “not happening” Feldman wouldnt report that because it would be irrelevant really to the story if OU source says that. Of course they would say that, that’s not really a story or comment to report in itself.

In 2018, Oklahoma was producing roughly 150k~ barrels of oil a day. 2020, around 17k barrels of oil being produced a day.

With all due respect, I really think you just made all this up

The talk about being in Stoops shadow and the second fiddle is where he lost me. Riley just signed an extension last year and in that time he started to develop all of this resentment?

A much better case can be made for the SEC move and OU not wanting to match LSU's offer.

Riley was always going to get a counteroffer from OU hence the soft denial publicly. OU IS NOT GOING TO MATCH OUR OFFER. The current atmosphere in the Big 12 with OU and Texas announcing the move to the SEC deems it impossible to stay in conference another year. The looming $76-$80 million dollar buyout is not going to be let go of by the Big 12 (my source in the OU AD made that very clear even before we ever offered Riley). OU is currently scrambling to put together something hence all the recent leaks and Feldman’s denial (he’s just a grifter similar to Windhorst and LeBron).

This makes some sense. It explains why some on here are still confident in a Riley hire and why SW zeroed in on him as "gettable."
