I'm more interested in the sum parts of the whole and in that case, LSU did quite well. The other question is do the interlocking parts fit together to make an efficient and effective system. That remains to be seen, but I'm highly encouraged.

Oregon or Purdue. Herman's going to find himself in over his head at Texas very quickly I think.

Purdue, Texas, and Oregon. Herman and Brohm were in my top wants for LSU.

Baylor. The fact that they got any coach who had a career in front of them to take that job should be considered a miracle.

He won't be a total bust, but he's not going to be winning NC's in year 3 like so many expect.
Strong has laid a solid foundation to build on though. Question is will the boosters/admin give Herman enough time to build on it if he has a couple of sub par seasons.

i like the baylor hire, not so much because of the name, but because he came in and hired 3 big time tx high school names. time will tell, but that may go a long way to salvaging at least somewhat of a recruiting class
