Just curious if you guys have heard anything? It didnt take Maryland long to hire Edsall (one day after his bowl) is Michigan giving Les time to get back home and think things over before accepting the job?

If Les isn't Plan A, then who is some of the top guys Michigan is looking at and when do they expect to make a hire.

I'm sure you've seen the Free-Press; says Michigan will meet with Miles on Tuesday in Dallas. We've heard this for a day or so now. I got nothing on a timeline, but doubt it'll take long to get Les' response. Gotta think he knows what he's got w/blue as well as LSU. He's also gotta be in talks with LSU but, given budget cuts around campus, he's not getting much, if anymore, money; might just be more control over the program-whatever that means.

Would like to see the speech at the AFCA convention that Miles makes on Tue. He may need to get a sub. Ha! It will be all stutter with all the questions and press after him. This brings back memories of when Pretty Paul left. ....I love LSU and I will never leave.....

Why would a Miss St fan be worried about Les leaving LSU? Oh yeah, Miss St would probably be looking for a HC soon after themselves.

I'm not necessarily saying Alleva should open the vault for CLM, but any Miles raise has nothing to do with "budget cuts."

TAF funds are private funds--not state funds.

And yes, I'm aware of "perception," but giving Miles a raise to 5m will not hurt "perception" at all--at least with the people that matter.

The Michigan AD has been really quiet about the whole situation. He hasn't stated any candidates or a timetable. It's all speculation at this point. You'll probably see an official "[insert name here] officially named the next head coach at Michigan' before you hear the Michigan AD say anything regarding timetables and candidates.
