What Has Jimbo Achieved Outside of Jameis to Deserve LSU Job?

LSU fans need to take a step back and look at Jimbo's record at FSU even going back to the Bowden era and tell me what makes him so much better than Les?

If we're being honest, without Jameis Winston, Jimbo is likely fired from FSU. They were ready to kick him out the door before the 2013 season but having a Heisman QB saved his job.

I'm not saying you have to keep Miles but hiring Jimbo is a downgrade

LSU's main problem is QB. How much better would you be with the equivalent of Christian Ponder, EJ Manuel, or Austin Golson??? Even Sean Maguire

Christian Ponder, EJ Manuel,

First round draft picks? I would be pretty ok with that. The guy has coached 4 QB's drafted in the 1st round, two of them drafted #1 overall...who cares what they did in the NFL, they were all great college QB's

He also developed christian ponder to the point of making an nfl team believe he could be a decent qb.

Both Ponder and Manuel were first round NFL QBs. I'd say they'd be a bit better than any on miles list of QBs

Are you listing those QBs as an argument against Jimbo? Because pretty much all of the guys you listed are better than anything we've had in a long time. Two of those were first round picks, it's irrelevant what they did in NFL.

Jimbo is currently the best developer of college QBs and there's no arguing that.,

He increased the win total by 3 from the previous year during his 1st year as HC

FSU's fans hated Jimbo before the Jameis years and they'll hate him again soon.

Also, Gene Chizik won 1 NC as a HC and 1 as an assistant. Also had an undefeated season under his belt as a coordinator. Why don't you hire him?

I have no dog in this hunt. Hire Jimbo at your own peril

In the ACC. How do you think Ponder and Manuel would have performed against Bama's defense or even LSU's

Compare Jimbo's number to Les and you tell me what's the difference?

Keeping in mind Lec acheived this in the SECw which has been the hardest division in CFB over the past decade. All 7 teams are Bowl eligible for the 2 straight year

Ok, here is what I came up with:

FSU 5 years before he took over

2005- 8-5
2006- 7-6
2007- 7-6
2008- 9-4
2009- 7-6

when he took over as Head Coach

2010- 10-4
2011- 9-4
2012- 12-2
2013- 14-0
2014- 13-1
2015- 9-2 so far
