I think you need to learn what terrible means

as a senior he threw for 3,400 yards with 23 tds and 10 ints

with another 300 yards rushing and 4 tds

LSU QB's have been terrible...I would have killed for Manuel at LSU

2011: 2666 yards (65.3% @ 8.6 ypa), 18/8
2012: 3392 yards (68.0% @ 8.88 ypa), 23/10

in the context of QBs and LSU, if that's "absolutely terrible", then i don't know if there is a word negative enough to describe our QB situation once jimbo's QBs left LSU (so 2008-onward)

compare manuel's 2012 to mett's 2013 (which is basically our apex of QB play in the les era)

2013: 3082 yards (64.9% @ 10.4 ypa), 22/8

This is also the season where I believe he truly turned a corner. He was legitimately bad before then.

look at his penultimate season and compare it to LSU QB's performances, 2008-2012, 2014-2015

Auburn should have hired him instead of the one that we have. Jimbo can recruit, develop quarterbacks and offense and is a proven head coach.

2009 might be the best comparison (at least in total TDs).

He put 4 straight QBs into the NFLs first round and recruits like a mad man in a highly competitive state

Do that at LSU and see what happens

LSU qbs were terrible, but that doesnt mean EJ wasnt. Outside his last year, he was pathetic. Even that last year, he lost 2 games with a top 3 talent roster. Sure he had some big yardage games against some terrible defenses. He also was made to look like a high schooler against a team like Florida. Dude was not good and Jimbo is a magician to make that clown a 1st round pick.

Doesn't LSU currently have the #1 ranked recruiting class?

Looked great against weak ACC defenses. Sucked against UF.
