He seems like he would be pretty good, this time around..I heard him today on the radio...He said he has had to analyze (job) all conferences and is comfortable anywhere in the country..

Quote: coaches are just like players...Deep down, they just want to compete for championships...Why else are you in coaching? then he added...so obviously you want to be in a place you can win...but if you have to settle for a notch lower situation...your challenge (championship) is take a program to a place they have not achieved yet...

he also teaches or does motivational speaking..he seems like a high energy guy...

Also understands that the game is changing a bit...Mobile QB is the great equalizer of programs that have talent, vs. less talent, he said defenses haven't figured out how to stop a tailback running the spread or zone read offense...

I'm opposed to hiring a head coach that is no taller than my mailbox

Bowden has been all over the south lobbying for a job this season. He was in Oxfart when we played them.

*He has been to Southern Miss as well.*

Coaches are only good for 4 years around here anyway. Figure he'll die before he goes to another school.. perfect fit.

"Well, I can tell you this...Certainly Nick Saban can not see the top of my mailbox without an Escalade"...although he is very capable of buying one

Have you ever seen Terry Bowdon and Lil' Red in the same room?
Either they're the same person or Bobby has another son running around Memorial Stadium.

Hell, why not Jackie Sherrill?

I've heard some really ridiculous suggestions.
