Yup fedora I can only see being an average coach here. Nothing wows me about him. A safe mediocre pick, which is right up Allevas alley

Come on now.

Besides his interim stints Coach is a D-Line coach and was out of football 2 years ago.

Fedora isn't sexy hire. I have questions as well. I've been debating Gundy v. Fedora and think I like Gundy more. But Fedora isn't disaster if we do what we do - hire strong DC and recruiters.

Were you around for "As the plains burned" back in the day?

Don't let the board's emotions sway you. We're mid-melt after a loss and a lot of people are grasping at straws.

LSU can do better/worse than Fedora. He's probably not the last name we'll hear, IMO.

Random, do you know if the ice cream machine at the McDonald's on Sherwood is still broke?

why would recruiting fall apart. fedora has great ties to texas, ties to louisiana and mississippi from his time at usm, has recruited well at unc......not seeing lsu fall off the map in recruiting

Well, if we do get Fedora, I know that he loves Lowell Narcisse and recruited him hard at North Carolina. So there's that.

I believe your info comes from a legit source, Random, but this update about how all of a sudden LSU is deciding that they don't want to get in a bidding war with TX and Oregon makes no sense. Rhetorical question: what's changed for them to make this decision now? Nothing. Everyone knew there'd be a good chance LSU was going to have to fight for Herman over some other schools (specifically Texas). Of all the rumors in recent weeks, this update definitely sounds like a smoke screen to me. I think they're going after Herman if they haven't already agreed to something.

Fedora has made schools like USM (12-2) and UNC (11-3) relevant. That's not easy to do.

For one season

Usm wasn't even a bad program

Wtf. They won 9 games two seasons prior and consistently were winners

He has had 1 good season at both

Unc wasn't that bad either just had the sanction crap

I think most people felt that Texas was going to retain Strong until today. They were at least considering it.

Two weeks ago I spoke to a big UT donor and he said that at that point Strong was going to get one more year.

It really sure all sound like a smokescreen

Why all the constant Jimbo leaks again

Seems intentional

LSU may have their guy and it very well may be Herman

It's not all about money as it is about being smart for long term success. He doesn't want a harder rebuild and still with all the money in the with there is a limit a school will actually pay..

Random, please have your sources replace the TP at the Nicholson McDonald's. About to pass through and need to take a dump. TIA
