Don't know all the particulars but Tubbs' wife was involved in DUI related auto accident that killed at least one local. From several sources, the way that went down, legally, never sat well with the citizens. The pro Leach factor was huge, too, in the way Tubbs was received by the boosters. He may be a dickweed but he has never been called stupid. He saw the writing on the wall, packed his "pine box" and left ahead of the lynch mob. In my humble opinion.

So she was issued a DUI? are you sure about that?

No, I did not say she was issued a DUI. Put on your reading glasses. That story is well known over there, just google her name & it should pop up. I don't care enough to take the time.

The US of A made a big mistake stealing West Texas from the Comanches.

The current POTUS likes to apologize for the way have treated other countries. He should apologize to the Comanches and offer to give it back to em.

I've always liked Tubs and supported him. But that is fricked up.

On another note, gotta love the Bama Alum writer on al.com that used this same story and put a picture of Tuberville at Auburn. Pathetic.

My guess he just accepted the UC offer and at that point he had no business being with TT recruits nor should he be the one informing them. It was the ethical thing to do. Sometimes doing the ethical thing can seem bizarre, but it was the right thing because he was no longer an unconflicted representative of Texas Tech's interests.

That was not the time and the place to tell them. As soon as he would, their interest would be "what about me" and not Texas Tech's.

The "ethical thing to do". Walk away from a table where your ASSISTANT COACHES are & don't even tell them? He left them completely in the lurch with their thumbs up their butts. Sorry, this is classic Tubby. The Big East & what it may be next yr is a great place for him to wind up his career.

Not giving someone a citation for drunk driving does not keep an accident from being DUI related

See, she was drunk, and should have gotten a DUI, however, she did not receive the DUI.
