Saban has moved jobs 3 times under Sexton. And even Bama fans know he was a Mack Brown presser away from moving a 4th time.

Jimbo's marriage and children situation is well known. It's actually a plus for LSU.

The Sexton everything is a money play, no one changes jobs is an incorrect and overused narrative.

Houston offered him a raise to 3 mill a year........He isn't happy with their attendance in Houston.... Next stop Death Valley.

Right, not to mention this dude is talking like Jimbo isn't involved in this at all. Like one day Sexton will bring a contract to Jimbo for him to sign and say "oh yea, remember when LSU needed a new coach?"

If jimbo wants to come here, Sexton isn't telling him, no wait, I have a better idea.

Why don't you tell us who Hermans agent is and talk about his tendencies? Otherwise, it looks like you're just parroting the age old Sexton meme that is this board's go to and aren't really providing any insight.

Strong will get more time he had no talent when he got to Texas. Georgia not looking for a coach.....Alleva knows football not sure if people realize this.

Exactly.

If Jimbo wants to come to LSU, it's Sexton's job to make it happen. If Jimbo doesn't want to come here, it's Sexton's job to leverage the situation if possible.

Sexton isn't pulling the strings, Sexton is the middle man to help his clients.

Maybe he would do well, but hiring a guy with ONE year HC experience, at Houston no less, would immediately put Alleva on the hotseat if we loose a few games next year.

It's a fall back plan, nothing more, nothing less.

The one thing that worries me is he's only been a head coach for a season and not in a power conference. And wasn't Houston OK last season -- like they went to a bowl and canned the coach over money or politics? I like the Saban/Miles trend of getting coaches from second tier teams in power conferences. (Although Jimbo Fisher coaches a top tier team in a power conference)

Can't get a fresh start with a 60 year old Patterson. Herman like Saban comes in as "unproven" sorta like Les we hen we got him

Go check into Jimbo's marriage trouble..... Check who is agent is......check Saban's.... Just being the squeaky wheel. Tom has talent at LSU right now. Will be fun to watch him open it up on offense.
