You can't fricking say you didn't want them / weren't recruiting them and then a couple years later claim that Horton lost the recruiting battles for them.

who we wanted and who the coaches wanted were two different things. Petrino didn't give a shite about character. Dyer seemed immature to me so I didn't care if we got him or not. Frazier I kind of wanted until I heard he avoided throwing the ball in competition with Allen at some combines but petrino said they definitely wanted fraizer.

Arkansas/Petrino didn't want Dyer. Arkansas did want Ziemba, Burns, Frazier, Mosely not so much.

The little talent they got was because of this guy and now he's gone.

Congrats. What we know you will soon find out. I am glad he is gone. Be glad you don't use a lot of tight ends, cause they would be fumbling like a mother.

We actually replace coaches with better coaches. Not hire rejects.

You should really start by doing some research instead of just running to Rivals. Some of those guys you listed weren't even in Horton's territory.

Tim is an awesome individual and there's not a bad word that can be said about his character. However, he was in no way, shape or form our best recruiter. Anyone that says that doesn't really know what they are talking about. His track record on recruits targeted versus signed was not that great at all. He did above average with instate kids but flamed out over and over again with out of state running back prospects.

I wish him all the best at Auburn and am sad to see him go because he was a great guy and a great ambassador to the school. However, as a coach and a recruiter, I think we got an upgrade in Joel Thomas.

Recruiting wise at Auburn, I actually think he will have more success in Memphis than he will with Arkansas kids.

I was in Little Rock last week and had the conversation with several die hard Arky fans about Horton. To a man, they all agreed he would be a huge loss. He is very highly respected across the state by everyone that knows anything about football.

Of course, now that he pops up on the radar for Auburn the jilted lovers on here say he sucks.

Meh, don't understand the barner fapfest going on right now.

Top recruiter or not, we're hiring him from Arkansas. No offense to the Flagshippers out there, but y'all haven't exactly torn it up on the recruiting trail and we've done a pretty good job of taking who we wanted out of the state these past few years. If he was one of the guys who was allowing that to happen, then I'm not sure why we're heralding him as the second coming of Trooper Taylor in regards to AR.

That being said, Gus had a reason to hire him, and he's only the tight ends coach. I'm taking a "wait and see" approach.
