The only thing that will make me melt is if O keeps BDP.

I actually believe that whatever Yaw Yaw has in his magic binder is going to be very positive for LSU football. But if O retains Bradley Dale Peveto, that will be the sign that nothing is going to change.

Update: BDP gone. Hallelujiah!

Something needs to change on special teams because it's been our Achilles heel since 2012.

Can't see him firing BDP or anyone for that matter.

This is Les Miles 2.0 without the wins.

keeping BDP is significantly more egregious and insulting to LSU football (and the game of football as a whole) than anything Alleva has done during this coaching search

he has been a disaster in everything X's and O's since the first day he ever stepped foot on campus. His stint as DC was a mess and an embarrassment, only to be outdone by his return. BDP is Lou Tepper bad and should never ever be allowed to coach football on any level

Do I know what he coaches? Yes. Do you know where your mother spent the night last night?

He is our Linebackers coach you fricking moron and how did our LB's look this year?
Have someone else coach special teams but we need him for recruiting and LB's.

Not sure if you are serious... you do realize Coach O moved BDP to special teams only, don't you?

We hired O for recruiting. Surely we can sacrifice Peveto since O is the best recruiter in the history of the world, right?

And Peveto stopped coaching LBs after les was fired

I guess you missed when O told him to quit playing LB coach and concentrate on his sorry arse special teams.

This is the entire problem with O.

His success, even by the admission of his most ardent supporters, is contingent on a number of different events aligning; we need to get this guy, we need to get rid of these two guys, we need to keep this guy. The pathway to success is too complex and one wrong move here or there is enough to derail the entire thing.

You think Saban or Meyer's team falls apart even if they replace their entire coaching staff but the HC? No, they'll be great because of the damn HC. You want the guy that is enough to sustain greatness based on him and him alone, where everything else is just gravy.

But we were too scared to try to get that guy, instead opting for the Voltron strategy. That strategy can work but the tried and true strategy is to look for a monster, a singular spectacular entity. Alleva didn't have the courage to try to get that done.

If he keeps him, it'll be for recruiting. His special teams coaching days are over.

Rumor is that The Binder contained a delectable sauce piquante recipe.

You define the "problem" in a way that fits your end. I like that O wants to hire the best coaching staff. You twist it to "he will fail" or "this is the problem".

I didn't think O was best for job-- but let's see how it plays out. If he is here 5 years from now hiring the best coaching staff, it means LSU is winning. If LSU is not winning-- next coach up.
