Texas did the right thing by hiring a defense first coach who runs a balanced, predicated on the run offense. Strong is a great recruiter who can recruit the entire southeast and he's at Texas now! He'll have the horns ballin' fast.

TX already gets the best recruits. Strong is a great hire. Maybe the Big 2 will now start playing defense again.

I think that was just their big mouth boosters measuring their dicks to journalists. They knew all along that those guys weren't realistic.

Why I laughed so hard when I saw that Briles rumor that said he would accept the job if offered. It sounded like one of the 100's of rumors coming out from their boosters.

I see some people, Pat Forde, criticizing the hire because he's the anti-Mack Brown... why is that a bad thing?

Because he is a massive Louisville homer and doesn't want to see Charlie leave

Bottom line....Strong is not a good fit for the position......his personality does not fit Texas....he will become the Ty Willingham for Texas.

Dabo Swinney, Mike Gundy or Gary Patterson from TCU would have been better hires, not to mention some coaches with NFL coaching on their resumes.

Gene Chizik has about his same record with an undefeated season in the sec. Lol. He had one of the top qbs in the country for two years and managed 3 losses to conference teams he was double digit favorites too.

I missed when football transitioned to a 1 on 1 game.

The day LSU hires a black HC, TD will need to be shut down for a few months

I think some LSU folks are scared of what Sumlin and Strong combined would to recruiting in Texas and Louisiana. Those two would potentially hurt LSU recruiting greatly.

Without his first round qb he would not have accomplished shite. This is a bad hire, he won't fit in there, and he will run UT into the ground in the next two years. None of that is because he is black.
