The guy DID say the odds of landing a BIG fish were extremely low. That's probably why. They didn't mention Belichick either.

this goes against everything we've heard.

That's because the whole Herman is a "done deal" to Texas was based purely on fan/media speculation.

was told that Herman is too much of a control freak to go to the NFL...wouldn't want to deal with GM or owner.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he ends up at Oregon.

i could see it. more money, better facilities. he'll still recruit texas. and oregon is still a stepping stone job to texas if strong is retained or the next coach fails.

If Herman is a control freak, that is reason enough to believe he wants nothing to do with the Texas Mess.

It seems like a very long time ago that Muschamp was head coach in waiting at UT before he went to UF.

Ive lived in Boise for a while. Ive witnessed the Peterson era as well as the Harsin era, moreso with Harsin as Im attending BSU. He is a damn good coach, (not making a case for him over Herman) who runs a clean program, keeps accountability of his players, and runs a damn strong offense with local players. He doesnt get much credit because the Mountain West conference is a boring conference. Give that man talent, money and resources, I guarantee he will have a top 10 program.

I brought up Harsin as a HC candidate for LSU months ago, but I think he'd be perfect for Oregon or Baylor.

Please let's get Herman. I'd love to have Fisher, but I see Herman as the next great coach regardless of how this year turns out for Houston.
