I support LSU regardless of who is coaching, and I hope O goes undefeated.. just found this interesting.
Article written in 2013- hope for Lsu's sake this guy is wrong.

He's exactly right and is further evidence of why Joe "the schnoz" Alleva should be fired.

The guy that wrote that said Kevin Sumlin would be a great hire for USC. Credibility down the drain.

I don't even care anymore...we married him, so now we're stuck with him.

Comments mentioned Miles as option, but said he'd only leave LSU for Michigan.

All of this clearly applies to the present situation, along with the added caveat that Joe Alleva is a worthless elitist rat bastard who should never have been hired in the first place.

His points are Ole Miss, better coaches are available, and Bill Stewart.

OM is what it is. You either dismiss it or it's the ultimate anti-O thing. Better coaches will always be available. Were there better coaches than 3-loss Jimbo or unproven Herman? Yes. And of course fans and players shouldn't decide who the head coach is.

We took the same players and got a lot better this year. We rebounded after losses to put up monster numbers. Guice gets in vs Florida and we are 8-3. Florida doesn't pussy out the first time and we are 9-3.

I get the article and he was right.. But to do it again says something. Especially if u go back 30 or more years no one has had the success at a interim level that O has had at USC much less at Lsu as well the closest would be dabo goin 4-3 at Clemson. Plus he fits at Lsu and can recruit with Anyone. If he makes a good hire at OC and locks in another top 3 class for Lsu I think he has a good shot.. I was against the hire but not so much of Herman or Jimbo didn't happen. I think too many coaches are hired because of the "flavor of the month" scenario where they have a good season or two and end up at a program that they don't fit. Guys like dabo, and fleck are ceo type guys who recruit, motivate and hire well. Let's hope O does as well. I'm not sure if a fedora or gundy would have been the right fit and understand now that I've calmed down why imo O moved ahead of them for the Lsu job. It's time to get behind him and hope for 3 things. Bowl win.. Close a top class... Make a solid OC hire.. Those 3 things can elevate the buzz around the program and set us up for a damn good season next yr.

The players loved Les Miles too. I think they still liked him, but grew tired of doing the same old thing and no possibility of change. Does anyone really dislike Orgeron? Not saying I want him as The head coach. The players love him. He pressed every button off the field that he needed to get this job. Bring the media in, bring the old players back...etc.

USC hired Helton and after a slow start, he has turned USC in the right direction. Was USC as talented as we are? Things did look different under coach O. Miles was always focused on 1 QB and others didn't have a chance. If O can bring in an OC who can develop a QB, we should be good. We will have plenty of talented QBs to compete. We know O can recruit and that won't drop off. If he can continue to beef up the front lines, we should be ok. Les was just too stubborn and it doesn't appear that O is that stubborn.

I just hear about Kiffin going away from the run too soon and Saban having to settle him down. Will O be able to settle him down if he comes here? We know defensively Aranda will be fine. If he makes the right decision for OC, LSU could win 10 games next year. You talk about the tough schedule, but Florida still needs a QB and will lose players on defense. Bama will be tough on the road. I don't fear Tennessee. I think we can beat Ole Miss as well. A&M we beat every year. Auburn is a wild card. Which Auburn will we see? I could see us finishing 10-2.

Sumlin is good at A&M. He definitely needs to stay there.
