So you're saying if they go 10-3 or 9-4 they let him go? Hell no. At the very least he'll finish a 4 year recruiting cycle.
I think if they have an opportunity to get a good target like Herman, they absolutely will.

ETA: 10-3 with a loss to Oklahoma would get interesting. But at 9-4, I think so for sure,

His major selling point was his defensive chops. If it goes bad all season, Strong better watch out.

If Herman is a now or never choice, than I dont think 8 wins guarantees Strong anything when he has a defense rated in the 100's.

yes but you have to be impressed with Texas OC. Freshman QB and he has them scoring. I know its the big 12. Defense sucks at Texas thou.

All season?

Strong may very well be gone after this game.

Texas could still possibly go after Saban and then we go after Herman. Wouldn't that be ideal.

Strong will not survive the year..his Matador D is ATROCIOUS.

LSU gonna need Herman to have the chest for SEC..and not choose Mickey Mouse Big-12.

I take back everything I said. If this get's ugly, he might be gone after this game. Then Texas can take some heat for firing a guy in the middle of the season.

Neither LSU nor Texas should get heat for that. Those coaches got paid. They also didn't get job done

Strong is not getting fired..not this year. For them it would be a racial firestorm of epic proportion. I still believe he ultimately gets sent packing next year and they will throw half the oil wells in Texas at someone....just my 2 cents.

I mentioned in another post about Strong, how liberal Austin is, and the overtones in canning him in just year #3. Especially given this current climate nationally, and being a sensitive election year in which such themes are ever present.

They tried to run him off last year. If he doesn't finish super hot he's gone.

I guess winning games is more important than politics.

I'm thinking this also. I think we can pull Jimbo from Florida State fairly easily if he loses a couple more games, though.

media backlash for firing a coach, who is shitty as frick and has had three years to fix this, and is showing no signs of doing anything different, but we have to hold off ONE MORE YEAR JUST BECAUSE HE IS BLACK??

you guys are so fricking stupid..go take your SJW pajamas off.
