Spurrier is living the high life in SC.

Well obviously those courses (outside Miramont) don't compare to the Hilton Head/coastal Ga area. I really just meant that there are still some great courses out there. He's also only 1.5 hours from Austin and Houston which both have some solid golf courses as well.

In all seriousness, how is Sumlin not getting more scrutiny nationally? After going 6-2 and finishing 3rd in the west in his first season (or tied for 2nd), he has gone 4-4, 3-5, and 4-4. I guess I just don't get the appeal of the guy.

Jack Nicklaus designed Traditions and Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Miramont, both in Bryan, TX a few minutes from Kyle Field, are more than adequate to challenge Spurrier during the week. (I'm sure he'd try out the other four lesser courses in the B/CS area as well). Houston and Austin area courses less than two hours away would provide a multitude of other nearby options.

I don't think Spurrier to A&M will happen, but I'd wish it would.

I would hope that Spurrier would have more class than to go to the aggies as an OC.

Why does A&M want to get rid of Spav? Anyone with eyes can see that the issue with you guys hasn't been play calling

ANYONE WITH EYES can see that the issue is playcalling, gameplanning, and personnel decisions.

When every defensive coordinator in the conference has your offense figured out down to which play is being run based on looking at the way certain players are positioned (all you had to do to determine whether the play was a run or a pass was look at Germain Ifedi's feet and which side of Allen Carson was lined up on), you can't playcall or gameplan for shite.

As far as personnel decisions:

-Starts Avery Gennesy at Left Tackle (FAIL)
-Keeps Germain Ifedi at Right Tackle for two straight seasons (FAIL)
-Constantly rotates LG starters between Stuckey and Sutherland (PUSH)
-Doesn't start Koda Martin at tackle when he's clearly the best one we have (EPIC FAIL)
-STARTS DAMION RATLEY AND PLAYS HIM SIGNIFICANTLY DESPITE THE FACT THAT HE SUCKS (INEXCUSABLE FAILURE)

Its interesting that everyone here seems to have forgotten that when A&M joined the SEC damn near everyone in the media was predicting we wouldn't even be making bowl games for several years while we built up the necessary depth to compete. As far as the national media is concerned A&M is actually slightly ahead of schedule.

Spurrier going to be pissed about the golfing situation in CS.

Miramont is a top 5 golf course in the state.

10 minutes from Kyle Field

Um, this doesn't sound right. Jeri Spurrier is 70 years old. I doubt the pursuit of her degree will affect the ol ball coach taking another job.

South Carolina should give him the AD job. He can't be any worse than Tanner.
