Saban left Bama? When?

Last I checked (which was this morning) he's still at Bama, still recruiting for Bama and going about his usual...which is recruiting and meetings. (via phone,)

I trust what I'm reading on the bama boards. they know better than anyone. Saban is just not going to get involved in stooping intot he said she said hypotheticals. he is keeping his nose down in recruiting and ALL FOCUS is on beating Oklahoma

I'm not convinced it's best for LSU for him to leave. Saban in Texas is probably worse for LSU recruiting than Saban at Bama.

But for the Bama meltdown, hell yeah.

Understood, but I'm reading the writing on the wall. That he hasn't signed UA's extension combined with the debt discussions is bad news for you guys. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's done.

Mack is still the coach.

It's the final hurdle/domino. Once he resigns/retires, Saban will be the coach at Texas within a day or 2.

Assuming that this means what y'all are gleaning from it, I have a question. Are the only boosters wealthy enough to buy up Saban's debt from UT? No boosters from Bama could possibly have that kind of money, right?

You people underestimate the REC

So he's been at Alabama all his time and they haven't done so by now?

What would be the grounds for suing?

Neglecting his duties, not doing his job such neglect damaging the program etc.
Why do you think Tubs was eating dinner with TT recruits waiting to get the call verifying that he got the Cincy job? He gets the call and leaves.

Maybe it is a part of his contract renegotiation.

I think you're underestimating the number of boosters UT has and the size of their pockets vs. UA. Also, desperation.

UT is desperate to have the success you guys have had. I think Bama's big boosters are most likely pissed Saban is even entertaining this and are far less willing to pay what UT's desperation is driving them to pay.

It isn't like this debt appeared today.

Why didn't they deal with it when he extended it the last time?

makes sense. you should always read fine print in those things. usually takes several days plus some legal back and forth over the p's and q's.

And you're underestimating the amount of money Alabama boosters have. Of course UT has more money, but if you don't think Bama boosters have enough money to cover the debt, then you are blinded by your desire to see Saban leave.

I would expect nothing less than blind denial from a Bama fan.

And what, exactly, have I blindly denied? I am not denying anything because I don't know, and neither does anyone else know, including the OP and the author of the article. So you read something about Spinoza concerning the refinancing of a loan on a development that Saban may or may not have been involved in, that provides no details about the terms of the refinancing, and you make the huge leap that this somehow involves Nick Saban? Okay, genius.
