As good a recruiter as Thomas is, if you can keep April around as a shadow-staff guy I might consider having Thomas be the special teams coach under April's tutelage. Let him learn from one of the best in the game and ultimately be special teams and recruiting coordinator. That's a nice path to advancement for him and he might well get really good as a special teams guy. He seems to be pretty bright; maybe he'll learn quickly.
