many on this board expressed after the Alabama loss we had nothing to play for.

Many on this board can also be described as morons because I know that LSU can possibly go to the Sugar Bowl and that is definitely something to play for!

Maybe you're looking at it wrong

Maybe Syracuse is Syracuse because they don't interview coaches like CEO

You can think what you like, but unless Arky can derail LSU's hopes of making the SECCG or playoffs, there's just not as much motivation for them. They played flat.

They're probably having second thoughts about that decision right now.

they aren't. They know he wouldn't succeed their because they can't get the type of coordinators for Orgeron to be successful

The SEC will praise the Lord if LSU hires O. Everyone knows our potential .

And your man crush, fleck, won't ever see the light of day in Death Valley unless it's as an opposing coach.

90% of schools in the country couldn't pay him more than he makes now to be their hc. Why would he leave to make less money?

Come on homey. Don't just make shite up.

O makes 600k...Fritz at Tulane makes 1.2m. Fleck makes 800k. The lowest d1 coach makes 500k.

So pretty much where ever he went would be a substantial pay increase.

Okay, just to make clear - even if and when Herman finishes the season's last 7 games at 3-4 against teams with less talent except for Louisville - you still want him over O to run LSU's program?

Why are you so infactuated with looking at tiny sample sizes. You only look for what stats prove your point.

I.e. only O's games a interim and only hermans last 7 games of this year.

If they finish like you say, hermans HC record will be 20-5. If O wins out, his record will be 22-33 (that's giving him full credit for interim wins even though he should get partial credit. And we won't even bring up jimbo, because he destroys both.

Look at the whole picture and stop cherry picking what you want. That's how you hire a coach.

I can think of three SEC teams who lost by and average score of 27 points that hope LSU doesn't hire coach O.
No you can't, because they know that once the "us against the world" shite fades away, Orgeron will be average at best. Though, go ahead and keep believing that, if it helps you sleep better at night.

Without 2 elite coordnators, he'll be screwed. You take Aranda out of the equation this year and we aren't even discussing the possibility of O right now.

I've gone round n round with that guy too many times. He likes to come in and bash Herman while at the same time pumping O. He'll bash Herman's record this year but defend Orgeron's Ole Miss tenure. "That was a decade ago". "He's proven that he's learned from his mistakes".

The bottom line is that facts are facts. O's record is there. It's embedded in history. Herman lost to SMU and Navy. That seems to matter more to him. That's his opinion. People like who they like. I'm not sure why people like him have so much hostility and force their opinion, though. That's why I just gave up. Having a conversation with him is impossible.

It is what it is. It's not like we're the only ones who'd prefer Herman to O. I mean, everyone outside of a few within this fan base would. But "Who cares what everyone else wants" will be the next argument.

It never ends.

ETA: I thought you replied to Tiger Ree. That's who I'm referring to.

Agreed. I've basically given up on trying to convince any of them. They made up there minds long ago no matter the outcome, and will change excuses as we go.

Most argued that O should be retained if he beat Bama and went to the SEC championship. Now that game gets completely forgotten...even though it was a horrendous display of coaching.

Wait a second...you're telling me Tiger Ree chimed in to bash Herman and pump O? I can't believe this. I'm in shock and awe right now!
