That was due to a 9-2 final season where he didn't coach bowl game. He was 0-3 in bowls. This site would have lost its mind when he was hired.

How soon can " the non search " be replaced ?

It's not debatable when you only count his decade ago record and not his previous jobs.
even if you count his interim HC jobs, O is still a below .500 winning HC

No I'm saying he learned from it. It was a decade ago.

at this moment, they are better hires

O may turn out bad but Matt Rhule looks like he would have been a disaster of a hire for LSU. His best win was against a 7-6 Penn State team.

The only thing it's proven that he's learned is that it's much easier to win when you have someone else's player's and system in place compared to his own.

We have no evidence of this.

It is the most relevant and important thing on his resume.
Anyways...back to the topic of this thread. On paper, both Baylor and Purdue made better hires. That is just a fact, whether you want to admit it or not.

No you don't count those.

Quit being a giant pussy.
Wait and see what happens.
You can always root for someone else or wish ultimate doom on "your favorite team."

Did he all of a sudden learn how to be a good HC? Go read Meat Market and see how he got the OM job. The EXACT same way he got the LSU job. He blew away Pete Boone(Alleva) with a binder full of promises he would never come through on, and Pete Carroll called and told Boone(Alleva) that O was destined for greatness.

Or, here's a thought, wish my team's AD would have actually done his job.

Houston will be next.
Schools with zero tradition, it's all about the administration and LSU's has to be one of the worst in the country.
Lawd what a bunch of pussy arse fans we have. Can we give Coach O a chance first?

You are one dumb SOB! So by your theory, Belichick and Carroll all of a sudden learned how to become good coaches? The stupidity of some people I swear!

Baylor did not make a better hire on paper. A coach with little to no experience recruiting in Texas whose best win in 4 years was against a 7-6 Penn State dealing with scholarship restrictions isn't on paper a better hire. We would all be united in melting over hiring Rhule.

We literally downgraded from the previous coach, just from a pure resume standpoint.
it really showed based on how the team performed in september and the rest of the year

that is how bad of a hire LSU made

Yea our fans this year are absolute horse sh**. Where did all these lame duck MFers come from? They leave games before the 4th quarter even starts, they scream and moan when Miles doesn't get fired, then scream and moan when he does. Then scream and moan when we give the job to O. Then scream and moan when Baylor hires a coach from Temple. Yea, that Temple. Fkn people are morons. Let the man coach a year or two and then you can go back to crying like the little bit** you are on the inside. Pu**y a** baws ruin this board and the luster that is the LSU fan base.

I understand doubting O, but this is way off. Are you aware of what Ole Miss was as far as player talent when he got there and where it was when he left? You can knock his bad coaching job at Ole Miss, but when it comes to the talent, he was the one that brought the talent there for Nutt after him.
