Is it possible that LSU is still looking for another coach?

Anything's possible...but I don't see Alleva being that dumb....or is he?

I would say there is an 85% chance Les Miles will be the coach in the the 2016 season.

I've been wondering the same as the OP. Alleva should have made the statement he made tonight a week ago even if the search and negotiation continued. However, I doubt Les will be let go after that press conference tonight.

Yall know that Miles could always suddenly retire next week?

At this point, nothing would surprise me.

My ULTIMATE wish is that Les was kinda ready to move on from day to day coaching but the continued war with Alleva that has been going on since 2008 pissed him off so he kept plugging on these past 2 weeks out of spite. Now that hes won->alleva gets fired-> Les has a press conference saying the events of the past 3 weeks have caused him to reevaluate and he would like to take on a new calling as the athletic director to have more time with his family but still be around the program->Les makes a HC hire.

The reality is Alleva will continue to be a slimeball in charge of our athletic department and Les, rightfully so, is going to stick around to continue to spite Alleva until Joe is gone.

My only hope is that there's so much back lash over this that they're forced to make a move anyway. Talking donors freezing funds for facilities, salaries, etc. This is a decision to save face in the short term and it'll have major long term consequences.

I hope not this whole damn fiasco has been a total embarrassment. IMO Joe Aleva sealed his fate. I would be surprised if he is AD when Les does hang it up or get run off.

Especially when he only said that Les Miles was LSU's coach and would be LSU's coach and he was looking forward to him coaching LSU's bowl game. Watch Miles no longer be LSU's coach as soon as the bowl game is over. I mean, that would be par for the course.

After this week, no way.

Now, if Les replicates a three game slide next year, he's gone. The decision makers have shown they now have an itchy trigger finger.

But, I do truly think Les will be more willing to be proactive in addressing issues.
