Oh boy, here we go again.

Not exactly hard news, but watching Fox sports one on mute and saw "Saban to Colts?" on the screen, apparently from the linked source.

Again, there is no news here, but it does make some sense on the surface if he is unhappy.

Not predicting anything, but if I were a coach of that caliber I would want to prove myself at the highest level after the Miami failure.

I still think Saban is going to retire. He just seems tired this season.

I CAN’T SUPPORT IT BY REPORTABLE FACTS, AND OF COURSE THERE IS NO PRESSURE FROM THE ADMINISTRATION; BUT FROM FOLKS IN THE PROFESSION, I KEEP HEARING “NICK ISN’T HAPPY,” “NICK SEEMS MISERABLE,” “NICK IS VERY FRUSTRATED,” AND I CAN FORESEE THE VERY REAL POSSIBILITY THAT NICK PULLS THE RIP CORD AND EJECTS FROM TUSCALOOSA AFTER THIS SEASON. WHERE THAT PARACHUTE WILL LAND, WELL, THAT HAS TO PLAY OUT, BUT I DON’T SUSPECT T-TOWN WILL BE NICK’S FINAL COACHING STOP.

“NICK SABAN, I AM TOLD, HAS TOLD PEOPLE IF THE QUARTERBACK SITUATION WAS RIGHT, HE WOULD AT LEAST LISTEN TO A PITCH FROM AN NFL TEAM. THE NUMBERS I AM HEARING, $10 MILLION TO $12 MILLION-A-YEAR IS THE KIND OF NUMBERS HE WOULD WANT. DON’T KID YOURSELF, BAMA FANS, HE LISTENED TO TEXAS. HE LISTENED TO TEXAS. WELL, NFL ANDREW LUCK IS A BETTER JOB THAN TEXAS. SO, I AM TOLD THAT SABAN WOULD AT LEAST LISTEN IF THE QUARTERBACK SITUATION IS RIGHT.”

May be something to this. If he had taken Brees, he might still be in Miami.

And grumpy. Like he is just getting done with it all.

His competitiveness keeps him going though.

Saban would never get along with Irsay.

The only option for Saban to ever return to the NFL is NYG when Coughlin retires. He could get total control and have a patient and understanding owner.

Agreed. I do think Saban is miserable in that the challenge is over at Bama. This is not a knock on Bama, but Nick likes to rebuild. I think he was 100% gone to Texas before the Mack Brown drama. I think he would likely go again if they fire Strong.

Not sure on the NFL thing for Nick. The fire and challenge may still be there, but I just don't think he jumps to the NFL. No way he goes to work for Irsay and that idiot Grigson.

Saban gone, it's so obvious he hates Bama. He still has dreams about being at LSU. He faps to Leonard Fournette tape.

This won't be as good as Saban to Texas since LSU fans won't be trying to force it to happen by sheer force of will.

He ran away from Miami because he got tired of not being able to control and/or coach men that were making more money than he was.

So no..... he isn't going back to the pros.
