Will backfire majorly. This is going to set the program back for many years to come.

Yep.

Saban has a massive ego and will subconsciously sabotage them to make himself look better.

I know none of this as fact. But trust me bro

The worse the replacement, the greater the love and legendary status grows for Saban.

He doesn't want his records broken anytime soon.

Nick was livid when Les Miles won the Championship with the majority of his players.

Even if Bama was interested, this is why Lane will never be an option

Saban retired. He needs to get over it and allow them to do what is best for the future of the program and hire Kiffin.

If Kiffin is successful Saban will get all the credit.

This almost never ends well. You need to set aside emotion and go out and hire the best possible coach not just some coach you have an emotional attachment to

The man is only involved if the university wants him involved.

Houston Nutt

He did this because Nutt was also represented by Jimmy Sexton

Correct. That was just Saban throwing Sexton a bone.

Should just make him AD then. No coach is going to want NS looking over his shoulder.

I'm loving this shitshow.

Is it true that Saban will retain his office? If so, will it be a shrine or possibly that he actually shows up from time to time? I mean what incoming coach could "cope" with that?
