How do you know Kiffin is a piece of shite? Because he outrecruited the frick out of us at Tennessee and signed a couple LA boys? Then left for USC? Who wouldn't?
Regarding his head coaching...how much more success would you expect at a program on a significant probation or with the Raiders?
His offense at bama is a beast, and he's had to have picked up some pointers on how to run a program with his time under Saban.

Kiffin or bust for me

Did you not see Saban rip this dude a new a-hole on tv a game, or two, ago over a dumbass play call when they were already up? He's being kept in check because he's not steering the system. If he was driving it'll be like a blind monkey on meth. You're correct he is talented as an offensive coach, but running an entire program....no.

you're probably right. but would be exciting to see our offense with an offense minded coach. maybe the lack there of has me out of senses.

You're legit retarded if you think that half of that list are potentially good hires.

Honestly I agree with you, and believe Mullen would be a good hire. He knows how to recruit in the SEC, and has won with less than optimal talent. He is only 44, knows the landscape of the SEC West, and is an OFF minded coach (former OC of UF under U Meyer). Would not be unhappy at all if he was named HC. Just sayin.

If you paid attention to football you would know how many off the field issues he has had and that Bama has had a handler to try and keep him out of trouble.

I wouldn't want him anywhere near LSU.

You are not seeing the forrest for the trees. He did that with Moo State talent. I'm not saying he would be a world beater but he would be far better than Miles, he has no baggage, would likely be here for as long as we wanted him here, and he apparently hates OM with a passion. He would give us a decent shot at some national championships with the right staff under him.

And that's not including what he turned Dak freaking Prescott into. Dude would have been a bench warmer at most SEC schools and now he is the talk of the NFL.

Such an atrociously stupid thread, built on complete straw men. Yet, ironically, you are the one who comes off as the complete fricking moron.

His team quit on him at USC. He lost control of the locker room.

Kiffin hasn't shown that he can handle being a HC.

Kiffin, Briles , or Petrino would be great, imo. I'm not looking for a best friend though. Just someone to coach football.

C'mon now. We're talking LSU football. There's a good likelihood of ignorance out there that'll be saying, "But he's never coached at a REAL SEC school!"

MSU doesn't have the same resources as LSU

What he did at State was impressive considering he is in the SEC west

If there is anything this board has taught me, it's that some in this fan base will complain and whine about any hire. Then at the 1st sign of adversity that group will grow exponentially!

Many on that list would be great hires. I just believe the new HC will be a QB and offensive guru. Something much different than the double TE, I Form we seen in the last decade.

I'm not sure anyone will touch Briles as a HC, but I would love him to be the new OC depending on who this new HC is. Lots of rumors going around that Jarret Stidham is following him wherever he goes.

Out recruited? Kiffin was Tennessee coach in 2009. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on timing and look at 2009-2010 recruiting rankings on rivals.

2009 LSU - 2 Tennessee-10
2010 LSU - 6 Tennessee- 9

Or 24/7 composite rankings

2009 LSU - 1 Tennessee-8
2010 LSU - 8 Tennessee- 9

In reality, 2008 is his only real recruiting class.

Well Orgeron did better than Kiffin did with Kiffin's recruits. If we apply the same criteria to Kiffin we did to Miles, he won with Carroll's recruits, by his third year he had a losing record. in fact, during the 2012 season, Kiffin became the first coach since 1964 to take the pre-season #1 ranked team to unranked by the end of the season.

Don't want as HC, would tolerate as an OC but expect him to bolt at first opportunity.
