I certainly hope this isn't the case. We need an AD who makes the decision himself, and won't be a puppet to others. Whether it's following the lead of boosters or former players, giving them influence in coaching hires is the kind of thing that drags Texas and other programs down. The "money" folks aren't the ones who should decide. Woodward was hired to make these decisions...alone.

Agreed. In defending SW decision process I was caught up in the woke comment affect SW decision. He will hire the coach LSU needs.

He can't hire anyone without money, but he can have the balls to hire who HE wants. Otherwise, he never should have been hired in the first place.

People need to settle down with the exaggerations. Gundy is a really solid coach. No coach has ever won consistently at OSU before him, so his record and sustained winning there says something. I know Miles was the one who got the ship headed in the right direction, but Gundy has been winning consistently for 16 years since. He’s done as good a job as anyone could expect at a school with such a mediocre history before him and Miles.
I don’t want Gundy at LSU, but people saying that he’s a hack or that he sucks need to calm down.
