I'm giving Herman an EASY button. He must push the right damn button.

In the world of negotiation, this actually makes me think Herman is very interested in Texas, but playing them off, in order to get a bigger offer.

when compared side-by-side to the situation at LSU, where Les Miles probably could have been let go three years ago (he thinks), the administration stuck by him until they possibly couldn't any longer.

Any person with a brain could tell that this is the case. I don't know why the narrative was that the administration was hard on Les, they gave him year after year to correct the offense while suckering LSU for raises twice and lying to the administrations face saying he would change up the offense. He's had multiple chances and was given the money to hire the top paying OC in the country at 1.5 mil a year to run an offense with the passing efficiency of a team like Georgia Tech. It boggles my mind that he was even able to get away with that with the talent we've had at the WR position.

If nothing else, LSU is headed for a very entertaining offseason.

I was really skeptical that Herman would be even an option against the powers backing Texas, but this does present an interesting perspective. I can see a lot more meddling from the Texas alumni and admin than what he would get at LSU. And it is likely LSU would give him more time to succeed. The final caveat is re-uniting with his buddy Aranda and a defense that will be in place to complement his offensive gameplan.

If Herman wants to prove he's an elite coach then come to LSU and square off every year against Little Satan.

Can't think of an event that has caused as much hype in recent years.

We'd probably have 80% of the front page complaining about how Coach O/Jimbo would've been better.

True dat. I've been on here singing O's praises because I do see some real positives in what he's done in a short period of time and I get the feeling there's almost a panic that he might actually succeed. I really hope that we keep him around because I think he's good for the program. Not every team has a Farmer Fran.

Here's a bit of irony. We need to hire Herman or Fisher because they are offensive geniuses yet in one game Coach O had a better offensive performance than Fisher had in 6 years (72+ games) as the OC of LSU. And he did that with the best RB in college football on the bench.

Herman is my #1. I just get sick of posters trashing O and not giving him any credit or at least withholding judgement until the season is done.

Always been a fan of the underdog and I do like to poke the hive from time to time.
