Does he talk on the radio show every week, or just while the DC search is going on? This is the 3rd time recently that he has been on the air.

Tuesday mornings.

Too many bridges burned by this guy. You know when he recruited against Les and Frank, it got personal. Don't think he gets a shot.....and I wish that were different.

Umm no. If he doesn't get the gig its because we didnt have room.

I don't know if he'll be on staff or not, but he and Frank talk daily. They are still tight.

A few things:

1) O can only say he hasn't been contacted. Maybe it's true, maybe it isn't. It doesn't matter, that will be his answer, period.

2) he's still being paid by USC and it sounds like he's got a kid or kids that will be in their last year of high school in 2015-2016. He can sit around and wait for the job he wants. That may explain why it appears "nobody else is interested".

3) if a rule change goes down in February and another coaching spot is allowed, he could end up on staff without someone departing.

At some point common sense will filter into this God forsaken board.

Not at all true, why talk out of your arse when you don't know what you are talking about. Ed and Frank talk regularly and are very good friends. All I've been told by people close to the program (players and coaches) that they all want Ed on staff. Be patient, let this play out.

bullshite. The way the recruiting game is played today, none of these guys can hold grudges. I've been saying this about O. He's a guy you want on your side 100% of the time.

It's very reasonable to think that Miles may have some reservations about bringing Orgeron onto the staff.

This is a guy who is tight with one of the most important assistants on the staff. He is a guy who would probably jump if offered a raise somewhere else. He's a guy who is very close to local media members. And, he's a guy who has no personal loyalty to Miles.

There is real risk in bringing him on.

Only way O comes to LSU is if the new DC wants him.

To all on the Orgeron bandwagon, why are we the only fan base that wants this guy? If he was so great, another team would have scooped him up.

BS. He's getting paid by USC and he has the luxury of turning down offers to wait on LSU. He wants to stay close to home.

He is already on board and has been for a while. Auburn tried to reach out to him but O remained quiet. He was super giddy this morning on 104.5 and one could tell from the beginning that he was really excited about something.

I've heard some rumblings of this but I've just been filing that info in my bs folder with the rest of the garbage from the past few weeks.

I swear if some other SEC west team picks him up, and he starts pulling kids from La, my head might pop.

Do you or does anyone posting here know the real story of what happened the hours immediately preceding the announcement of Orgeron to Tennessee? If so please enlighten the rest of us.

I wonder if the hurdles to the Orgeron hire is less about money and more about contrition, forgiveness, and trust.

Bridges can be burned, but they can be rebuilt as well.

Why has this not happened if he is so god damn valuable. I swear, he is an unemployed football coach, for good reason.

Who seems to be politicking quite a bit for somebody so in demand.

The guy was 6-2 as SoCal's interim HC. They sure as hell saw SOMETHING that caused them to go in another direction.

Umm they wanted him to stay on staff, he refused after not being considered for HC.
