I hope your right. I feel like Tenuta is a must get. The Miami opening (and probably the greatest defense recruiting class in the last decade) kind of worries me thouhgh.

Phil Bennett just got let go by SMU as their head coach ... he was a great D-coordn. for LSU in the early 90s .. . yeah the team sucked but the defense brought it. Great guy.

Jon Tenuta

LSU needs to go after a proven D-coordinator who isn't looking for a head coaching position. LSU pays their coordinators enough---we need to start building long term stability.

Will Muschamp is looking for that next step. He'll be a head coach in the next year or two.

Dunbar might be a good fit as well. LSU guy, so that's always a plus.

Don't need someone who has not been a Co-ordinator. It is a hard position and takes experience under fire. Dunbar needs to start under HC that has been a DC who can help him or go to a small college. LSU needs someone who has been proven under firel

Which is the only reason why we wouldn't want Tenuta

I will never understand this logic. I want someone who is ambitious and not content. I'm totally fine with hiring a new DC every 2 years because they did so good of a job they were hired as HCs.

exactly. It would mean that we're hiring quality coordinators.

Muschamp is not ready, any coach that wears wrist bands on the sideline is not ready to run a program.

I think he was implying that Orgeron is as intelligent as one tennis shoe, but not a pair. Technically adono the insult was not to your shoes.
