Why is the only deciding factor for Herman money? Is it because money is the only thing we can't expect to equal Texas on? Because in terms of football programs and actual product on the field, LSU beats Texas right now, hands down.

More than money, Herman was a GA at UT. He got a masters degree there as well. He purportedly enjoyed his time in Austin.

These and the money are the reasons people believe he would take the UT job over the LSU job, but who knows LSU has advantages as well.

I saw reported earlier that if UT fires Charlie their starting offer to Herman will start at $5.5MM. That would make sense bc Charlie currently makes $5.5MM.

We're screwed. Game over.

Fisher will be better than CEO, but no guarantee that he says yes.

Texas is not near the job people make it out to be. Hell they have been irrelevant for most of my lifetime.

According to insiders, A. Herman doesn't want to walk into a train wreck, and B likes to be in total control. Those 2 factors hit Herman in the face the day he walks onto the 40 acres.

Well, he'd be in total control here.

But I can't decide which school is a better springboard to the NFL, if that's his aim. LSU has more talent to work with, but Texas has the most room for improvement because they currently suck. We're at least pretty decent.

Herman earned himself a blank check this week. His performance on Thursday coupled with the epic fail Strong had today, he's about to become a rich man.

Yeah. Thursday night was definitely a ca-ching moment for Herman.

It's hopefully destiny that he comes here. Tom Herman was the name of my HS principal. Too much of a coincidence.
